The factory guards on a 70 Series offer minimal protection from mud, stones, and debris thrown up by the tyres, and they do not provide enough coverage once you fit wider aftermarket wheels and tyres. Fender flares extend beyond the factory guard line to catch what the standard guards miss, protecting the body panels, doors, and paintwork from the constant barrage of road debris that the tyres fling sideways. Fibreglass Flares for the Full 70 Series Range
Fibreglass fender flares are available for the 79 Series single cab and dual cab, 76 Wagon, 78 Troop Carrier, and older 75 Series models. Flares for the VDJ V8 (2007 to 2023) and GDJ facelift (2024 onward) are model specific due to the different guard profiles between production years. Front and rear sets are available separately or as a full vehicle kit depending on the product. Flares are commonly purchased alongside mudflaps and weather shields as part of a complete exterior protection package that keeps the body of your 70 Series looking good for years.
